Raspberry, blackberry, game meat, pepper and potpourri. The medium-bodied palate is chalky and refreshing with a deep core of layered flavors and a long, perfumed finish. It's a great example of cool-climate Syrah.

Donnachadh Vineyard & Winery is an organically farmed estate winery located in California’s Sta. Rita Hills AVA in Santa Barbara County. Founded by Drew and Laurie Duncan after a years-long search for the ideal cool-climate site, the estate was planted in 2013 and focuses on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Gamay Noir.
The winery is known for its Burgundian and Northern Rhône–inspired approach, shaped by the region’s coastal breezes, marine soils, and dramatic diurnal shifts. These conditions allow for slow, even ripening that produces wines with natural acidity, depth, and a distinct sense of place.
Led by winemaker Ernst Storm, Donnachadh emphasizes minimal-intervention winemaking and transparent expressions of vineyard character. The estate has quickly gained recognition for producing elegant, site-driven wines that reflect the unique coastal terroir of the Sta. Rita Hills.
