A highly allocated (ha!), acid-driven (whoo hoo!) and natural-leaning (crunchy!) wine, this features vibrant, crisp flavors of wild strawberry, tart cherry, watermelon, and pink grapefruit. If this is your thing, it's REALLY your thing!
(call me Vahn-Veef)!
If the Central Coast were a person, the French might describe it as "vif"—energetic, lively, and always ready for adventure. After more than 20 years in the region's vineyards and cellars, French-born winemaker Xavier Arnaudin created Vin Vif as a tribute to its windswept vineyards and underappreciated grape varieties.
Vin Vif is a new California wine label from the team behind Union Sacré, producing fresh, vibrant, affordable wines that showcase the Central Coast through a lighter, European-inspired style. The name comes from the French phrase "vin vif," meaning "lively wine" or "bright, energetic wine."
These wines are made for the moment, for new friendships and second pours—and like the land they're from, they're always full of life.
For Xavier Arnaudin, winemaking has always been about people. Born and raised in France, he trained as a chef before discovering wine through sommelier studies, where he found its power to elevate a meal and bring people together. A position with Joe Davis at Arcadian Wines brought him to California, followed by an assistant winemaking role at Sans Liege.
There, Xavier found a place for the artistry of Old World wines amid the rugged beauty of the Central Coast. Unconcerned with trends, he has dedicated his craft to channeling the elegance and hospitality of Alsace into every bottle.
