The 2024 Sandar & Hem Triolo Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is a vibrant collaboration between this winery on Treasure Island in the SF Bay, and local artist Erin Gleeson of The Forest Feast. Robert and Recha Bergstrom. Proprietors Robert and Recha Bergstrom founded this project in 2018 after many combined years in the medical and tech worlds, with Rob having worked harvests at prestigious Santa Cruz wineries like Rhys and Mount Eden. Their focus with Sandar & Hem is on grapes grown throughout the Santa Cruz Mountains AVA and neighboring regions.
The Triolo Vineyard is in the nearby Santa Clara Valley AVA, lying at the foot of the Santa Cruz Mountains The whole cluster-pressed Sauvignon Blanc grapes yield a charming wine with aromas of guava and passion fruit and a crisp and citrusy finish. It’s one part of their focus on showcasing the unique mesoclimates within the marine-influenced region.
