The 2024 Sandar & Hem Bates Ranch Rosé of Grenache comes from one of the Santa Cruz Mountains' most prestigious sites. Bates Ranch is one of the most famous vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains, renowned for Cabernet, but Grenache has begun sharing some of the spotlight on the property. This historic vineyard has been producing wines for over 40 years (best known for the wines made by Santa Cruz Mountain Vineyard) and sits at the southern end of the AVA.

What makes Sandar & Hem unique is their unusual winemaking setup - they craft their wines on Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay, allowing the marine influence to shape their process while sourcing exceptional fruit from mountain vineyards that are also significantly influenced by cooling ocean breezes.
