The Lima (Portugal, not Peru) wine region is near the Atlantic Ocean, so all this exposure to sea winds and granitic soils combined with a mild climate and high rainfall makes for a nicely balanced, lighter wine. It’s not what you want to keep around to get all geeky over (save that for a Chevalier-Montrachet) but one that’s perfect for stashing in the fridge.
