A versatile and elegant expression of Alto Piemonte, it pairs beautifully with everything from hearty vegetarian dishes to rustic, lighter meats.

A historic, family-owned winery nestled in the Biella Prealps of Alto Piemonte. Centered around the ancient Castello di Castellengo, the estate has been cultivating Nebbiolo and Erbaluce for centuries, with records dating back to 1682. Today, Magda Zago and Alessandro Ciccioni lead a vineyard revival across 7–7.5 hectares divided into 37 small plots—a nod to the winery’s name, Centovigne, meaning “one hundred vineyards.” Their approach blends sustainability with tradition: native yeasts, concrete tanks, and large oak casks in their 18th‐century cellar ensure wines that reflect the region’s unique character. The glacial‐marine soils lend minerality and elegance, especially to Nebbiolo (locally called “Spanna”) and Vespolina. Centovigne celebrates its heritage not only through its wines but also in its hospitality—guests
can explore the ancient cellars and stay in the charming castle village at B&B La Carosera.
