Crimson in the glass, this youthful Tempranillo blend has aromas of ripe berries, cocoa, warm spice, and a touch of vanilla. Medium-bodied yet expressive, it unfolds with lush flavors of cherry compote and rich cocoa, all framed by silky tannins.

Founded in 2010 by Steve Hearst and Jim Saunders, the winery is anchored by the 350-acre Saunders Vineyard, planted in 1994 with Syrah, Petite Sirah, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, and more. Hearst Ranch Winery has remained devoted to capturing the authenticity of its terroir. Under the guidance of winemaker Soren Christensen, the team executes thoughtful, sustainable winemaking practices designed to highlight the nuances of Paso Robles’s meso-climate. Their methods include extended fermentation, cold soaks, and gentle oxygen integration through techniques like pump-overs and punch-downs—all in pursuit of wines of depth, balance, and character. True to their motto, “Legacy of Quality”, each wine honors both the land and its history. Visitors can experience their portfolio at the hillside Paso Robles tasting room or the oceanfront San Simeon location overlooking the Pacific and Hearst Castle.
