Well-structured and lively, with refined tannins and bright notes of cherry and dark plum. Warm spices and desert herbs are met with a rustic earthy note. Elegant and easy drinking, but give this bottle around 15 minutes of air to really open up.
Rosario Madaudo’s family began making wine back in 1945, when his great-great grandfather began working his first vines on a farm in Villafranca Tirrena, a small coastal commune in northeast Sicily. Now a full on family affair in its 4th generation, the estate cultivates and produces a number of varietals from their vineyards in both Sambuca di Sicilia and the north slope of Mt. Etna.
