Cal Poly Wine & Vit alum Janie Willheim works with the Desparada winemaking team and recently rebranded her personal project from Lumina to Dream Dweller.

This Riesling comes from Kick On Ranch in the cool, wind-swept Los Alamos Valley, a transverse corridor that channels Pacific air inland. The site’s long, slow ripening season and ancient sandy, marine soils create low-yielding vines with concentrated, mineral-driven fruit.

The wine reflects that terroir with bright citrus, white peach, and taut acidity layered over subtle honeyed richness, ginger, and apricot. Aromatic, balanced, and versatile, it shines with spicy Asian dishes or on its own.
